NDP Member of Parliament presents Peace Train petition to House of Commons

 

Gord Johns, the NDP Member of Parliament for Courtenay—Alberni in B.C., presented the Peace Train petition to the House of Commons on Nov. 19. 

The petition, which calls on the Government of Canada to establish and fund a Centre of Excellence for Peace and Justice focused on research, education and training in conflict resolution, diplomacy, and peace operations for Canadian civilians, police, military personnel and the international community, received over 1,000 signatures.
